Shrimp boats at Pass Christian Harbor on the Mississippi Gulf Coast
Working Waterfront

Pass Christian Harbor.

Shrimp boats, fresh oysters, fishing charters, and the best sunset walk in town.

About the Harbor

The heart of the Pass.

Pass Christian Harbor is the town's working waterfront — the largest small-craft harbor on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, home to a shrimp and oyster fleet, sportfishing charters, and hundreds of recreational slips. Rebuilt after Hurricane Katrina, it's now the busiest gathering point in downtown Pass Christian, with restaurants, docks, and a public breakwater open year-round.

What to Do

At the harbor.

Largest small-craft harbor on the coast

Pass Christian Harbor holds more than 400 slips — the largest small-craft harbor on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Working shrimp and oyster boats share the docks with recreational sailboats.

Fresh dockside seafood

Local shrimp, oysters, and fish come off the boats daily. Buy directly from the docks or eat harborside at Shaggy's, The Blind Tiger, or Pirate's Cove.

Charters & boat launch

Half- and full-day inshore fishing charters launch from the harbor for redfish, speckled trout, and flounder. Public boat ramps and trailer parking are on the west side.

Sunset walks

The pier and breakwater are open to the public. Sunset over the harbor, with shrimp boats returning against the light, is one of the best free things to do in Pass Christian.
